Anno 1865
Chronology Villa Bertha
Maria-Viktoria-Str. 2
When the Protestant town church was built between 1855 and 1864, the site up to Holzhofgasse was used as a storage area. When the warehouse was auctioned off by the city, the master builder and architect Bernhard Belzer bought part of the site and built Maria-Victoriastrasse 2 and its counterpart Schillerstrasse 1 in 1874, which together with the tower buildings form the entrance to Ludwig-Wilhelmstrasse. It was named after his wife Bertha.
